Boden – What’s new?

For those of you who don’t follow me on Instagram, I have recently moved to a new house and boy oh boy; you don’t realise how much stuff you own until you have to load it all into a moving van.

Almost a month down the line and I am on a mission to stream-line my closet and create a capsule wardrobe that consists only of staple pieces that are versatile and high quality.

I have been a fan of Boden clothing for the longest time but found it was always just slightly out of my price range. More recently though, I’ve come to learn that you have to pay that bit extra if you want the quality.

In the past I have spent hundreds of pounds in stores like Primark, only to find myself throwing those same pieces of clothing out the very next season. Not this year. This year, and going forward I want to become more sustainable and invest in timeless, classic pieces that i can get wear out of, year after year.

Que Boden’s dreamy AW19 lineup.

Burney coat

A long, chic coat is a winter staple. I love this one because it’s a classic grey that goes with everything but with a playful colour pop in the strip of red and dashes of navy.

The Silk shirt

The rise in the borrowed-from-the-boys trend has come out of nowhere, but I am here for it. Tucking a relaxed fit shirt into a pair of jeans has fast become my go-to outfit for most occasions. Simple to wear for smart casual work wear, but an equally strong choice for a spot of brunch with the girls.

Zoe fair isle jumper

Cosying up never looked so good. I love this contemporary jumper. It gives me serious Fearne Cotton vibes and that makes me like it all the more.

The star-spangled design adds a sprinkling of bold colour. And it’s that perfect lightweight material so you can even throw it on for those nippy-yet-sunny days.

Classic trainers

These had to make the list, because they are absolutely timeless. I am ordering a white pair as we speak and I already know they will become my trusty go-tos once I start my new job.

Girlfriend jeans

Relaxed fit and mid-rise waist? Now we’re talking. The light vintage blue is a great transitional denim tone to take you from summer to autumn; Plus with the hems rolled up, these jeans are just effortlessly cool.

Smyth British Tweed blazer

This blazer is the item that I just couldn’t wait to order (It’s currently making it’s way to me!) The moment I saw it I (sobbed a little at the price) then took the plunge and ordered it in Yellow. I cannot wait to style it.

Until next time!
