I’m back and this time I’ve got a super exciting announcement that the interior enthusiasts among you are going to love; River Island have launched a brand spanking new homeware range! Yep, you heard that right, I’ll hold tight whilst you open a new tab to explore their website immediately…
Or, you could scroll down and see what I picked up after my shopping spree at MK1 shopping park. The River Island at MK1 shopping park is the first store to launch the new collections, so us Milton Keynes folk have been spoilt.
River Island has launched 3 collections, each as dreamy as the last with something to suit every style.
Explore your most lavish tastes with this sumptuous trend. The rich colour palette desires to envelope you in an exotic new world, lit up by dazzling bolts of bright. It’s high-octane, from the decadent animal motifs and soft Mongolian furs, to the collected antique finish trinkets that speak of travel and discovery.
This collection is arguably my favourite, for the pure fact of how unique it is. I love the bold pops of colour and the contrasting use of golds and matte black. We picked up the black mercury votive in both medium and small to put candles in.
Life looks sweeter in pink. Your most playful self will want to run wild in this kitsch and colourful paradise. Hyper-cute with a rock n’ roll edge, give in to leopard and lip print cushions, floral printed rugs and candles with conversational motifs – all with a dusting of sparkle, straight out of your dreams.
This collection is perfect for a pink lover or simply someone who wants to inject a dash of femininity into a room. There are lots of pieces that are subtle blush pink, like the candle holders and bowls, but if you’re feeling particularly adventurous there are bright fuchsia pinks to make more of a statement. Think classy Barbie.
Calm your senses and declutter your mind as you enter our most tranquil space. Here, stripped back Scandinavian chic is warmed with a cosy neutral palette. Mixed textures bring tactility to the contemporary aesthetic, think marble and metallics, contrasted with wool and fur. Finally, look for geometric shapes that bring a dynamic edge to this hug of a homeware trend.
New Nordic is what I would describe if I were asked what a stereotypical blogger’s house looks like. It’s full of beautiful, crisp marble, metallics and of course, a splash of agate thrown in for good measure.
I am living for this collection, it gives me serious Oliver Bonas/Anthropologie vibes but for half the price!
Now, let’s get onto the things that we picked up. We chose something from the New Nordic collection and a few pieces from Electric opulence; As much as I adore Baby Doll it, unfortunately, didn’t lend itself to our decor.
You guys know I wouldn’t be able to do a homeware haul without picking up a candle and I think this is the edgiest one I’ve ever purchased. It’s not my usual interior style but the tiger design seemed to be the signature motif for the Electric Opulence collection, and I kind of fell in love with it. It looks at home sitting on the bookshelf and it smells incredible!
This was by far my favourite find! I absolutely love anything agate. It’s usually pretty pricey but this was a steal for £18! I’m also enjoying using it to store my rings and other trinkets.
These pots are great if you want something a bit more versatile. You could use them to pot your houseplants or to put candles in. They also come in white and various different sizes.
I hope you liked this post!
