Happy Birthday Charlotte Tilbury, Milton Keynes.

I recently attended my first Charlotte Tilbury event (I know right? Mum i’ve made it)

The Charlotte Tilbury team were throwing a birthday bash in store to celebrate their Milton Keynes store turning one. They had champers, cake, balloons and of course, makeovers!

I had a ‘Transformation makeover’ and got to choose from 10 different looks. I went with the look Sophisticate. The eyeshadow complimented my blue eyes well and I loved the cream, tan, taupe & chocolate shades. To finish the look I chose a bold berry lip in the shade Bond Girl.

I had wanted to try Charlotte Tilbury makeup for the longest time so it was a real treat to have it applied by a Charlotte Tilbury MUA. (Big shout out to a fellow Meg, she was amazing!)

I fell in love with the eyeshadow and the sculpt and highlight palettes but the Cheek to Chic blush in the shade Sex on Fire, was the product that most stood out for me. It gave the loveliest natural rosy blush to the apples of my cheeks.

I was kindly gifted a few items which I wanted to review on here for you guys. Some of the products were used during my makeover and the others I have been using for the last few days and thought i’d share my initial thoughts.

Charlotte’s magic cream

As I’ve only been using this across the weekend it’s difficult to cast a solid judgement yet, but so far so good. It definitely brightens the skin whilst leaving it more full and plump. It’s a great base for under makeup or prior to putting on the Youth Glow primer.

Brightening Youth Glow primer

Talking of which, this product is a light and creamy base which works wonders for a flawless makeup application. It colour corrects your skin for an overall even skin tone which is great if you don’t tend to use high coverage foundation. Did I mention, it’s also anti-aging and redness reducing? Gimme gimme!

Hollywood Flawless Filter

This is one of those makeup products that you didn’t know you needed but once you try it, you’re converted. This little pot of joy acts as a primer, concealer and highlighter all in one. It boosts your complexion and gives you a dewy, healthy glow.

My skin has been having a few breakouts and looking quite dull of late, but this actually helped it look a bit more full of life and glowy which was a nice surprise! I literally only applied 4 little dots across my cheek bones and along the bridge of my nose and it instantly transformed my makeup.

Filmstar Bronze & Glow

Arguably now one of my favourite bronzer products! This dreamy duo compliment one another perfectly. The bronzer reminds me a lot of Benefit’s Hula lite, which until now was my go-to bronzer. The shade is ideal for us paler skin folk and the highlighter is subtle yet glowy on the skin.

Am I now a Charlotte Tilbury convert? Yes.

Is my bank account going to suffer because of it? Yes.

Is it worth it? 100%!

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you’re local or around Milton Keynes this weekend, be sure to pop into the Charlotte Tilbury store located in John Lewis in the Centre Mk to check out their birthday event! (You can check out my Instagram stories for more details)

Until next time
