Organic Lifestyle | Green People skincare

I’m back at it again with another cruelty-free and organic skincare discovery. This time it’s a company called Green People

Green People have a really interesting rise to success story. It all started with a mothers inspiration to create clean, organic skincare products for her daughter, who suffered with multiple skin allergies and eczema. As there was little to no skincare on the market that was free from harsh chemicals, she decided to take matters into her own hands and create her own.

You can read more about Charlotte Vøhtz’s story here.

The first product from the skincare range that I tried was the Day Solution cream

I applied this after my morning cleanse and before my moisturiser/primer.

What I liked:

The consistency – This was a big tick for me. It’s thick and creamy, and feels a lot more substantial than your average drug store solution, which tend to be quite watery.

The ingredients – Goes without saying, but the ingredients in this are impressive. It includes Probiotics, Willow Bark extract to reduce irritation and inflammation, whilst helping to prevent acne breakouts. Pineapple extract (which is a new one for me) that unblocks pores and Rose Geranium which is meant to leave skin feeling refreshed.

Oh, and did i mention it has  SPF15 built in. Super handy if you’re a lazy gal like me and want to skin as many skincare steps as poss.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Queue the freakish heatwave England has recently experienced, just in time for me to test out my next product on the list, the Facial Sun Cream

What I liked:

Anti -ageing – Boasting Avocado and Green Tea that helps protect and maintain the elastin in your skin.

Non-irritating  It’s suitable for sensitive skin and those prone to prickly heat.

Non- greasy – It being non-greasy is an instant win. I cannot stand thick, chalky sun creams that make you look ghostly and greasy, not a good combo.

Would I repurchase? Possibly, I would need to test it out a bit more.

Lastly in the skincare/body care department, I’ve been using the Aloe vera and Lavender shower gel.

What I liked:

The scent – This shower gel has a really refreshing, yet calming scent to it.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Time to throw a makeup product into the mix. I tested the Velvet Matte Lipstick in the shade Damask Rose.

What I liked:

The shade – The colour is beautiful. It’s very understated and subtle. The perfect nude-rose shade.

Soothing – It’s enriched with Vitamin E to keep your lips soft and nourished.

Would I repurchase? Yes! I normally stick to my all time favourite lippy, Tanya Burr’s Sunday walk but this honestly gives it a run for its money!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Have you tried anything from Green People?
