On sunday evening, I attended my first ever MK bloggers event and (spoiler alert) I loved it! The event was held at Revolution De Cuba and for anyone who hasn’t heard of it, Visualise; live music, salsa, fairy lights, cosy seats and expertly made cocktails.
I was driving but the mocktails are equally as scrumptious! I had the Apple and Raspberry mojito and oh my goodness, it was heavenly! not to mention beautifully presented. I almost forgot I wasn’t drinking alcohol.
The food was great, with a combination of authentic latino dishes. The tapas option is perfect for a light buffet style dinner. My personal moreish favourites were the Iberico ham croquetas, Cajun cream mushrooms and of course the calamari!
The company was great; Its so refreshing to spend an evening with people who are like-minded and share the same interests.
At the end of the night we were lucky enough to get given a jam-packed goodie bag to take home. This blog post is to say a big thank you to all of the Milton Keynes based companies who got involved and contributed heaps of goodies!
First up, LUSH
I am a BIG Lush fan, so to come across any Lush product in a goodie bag is a total win for me! We got gifted this nurturing coco butter and chamomile hand cream which is (excuse the pun) very handy for the winter months, when the harsh weather drys out your skin.
The small tub is a perfect size to bung in your handbag and apply on the go!
Next its ‘crunch time’ with Proper Corn
CONFESSION TIME- I may have strategically took photos of this first, so i could munch on it whilst I took the remainder of my photographs….
Proper Corn is fairly new on the food scene, but it has undeniably revolutionised snacking. With each bag averaging at around 120 calories, these bags of total flavour are ideal for lunch breaks, on the go ‘pick me ups’ and everything in between.
A big shout out to Mitchell & Ness for this beyond cool bobble hat. Not only is it the perfect team for me (my surname is Lake) It also couldn’t be better timing, as I’m travelling to Budapest on Friday and was on the hunt for a thick, warm and cosy wooly hat.
Our homes are full of great stories. About ourselves. What we love and what we like to do. We surround ourselves with what we like. What is important to us and what makes it easier to live the life we want. So when we come home, we feel at home. The home of BoConcept is Denmark where we have been designing and manufacturing design furniture for more than 60 years
Before this event I hadn’t heard of BoConcept but I have totally fallen in love with their furniture range.
Everything is so sleek and modern, combining neutral colours with innovative designs. I will 100% be paying this range a visit when I move out!
To all the other companies that gifted us lots of exciting things- Thank you!
- Maaya Indian kitchen and bar.
- Floatation Life
- RUSH Hair and Beauty
- MK Biergarten
- Stu’s Oven
- Mr & Mrs Fitz Fab Food
Lastly, a shout out to the lovely Sophie for organising the event and getting all us bloggers together for some festive fun! Its not until you attend local blogging events that you realise the talent and creativity you are surrounded by.
To finish with, id like to encourage anyone who is either new on the blogging scene or has perhaps been too shy to go along to events, to take the leap and go!
