I was recently invited along to my first Christmas in July event, hosted by Task PR.

I have to confess when i got the invite, to say I was excited would of be a bit of an understatement.

I am one of those people that absolutely adores Christmas. As I’ve mentioned countless times before,  Autumn/Winter are easily my favourite seasons, and even before I began blogging I was keen to attend a Christmas in July event.

When I arrived I was given a tour of the showroom. It was beautifully set out, with subtle festivities and christmas music playing in the background. They’re were refreshments upon arrival including fresh pastries, tea, coffee, and juice. (Naturally, I gravitated towards the coffee)

After I had my tour, I was left to my own devices to explore, discover and snap some photos.

I couldn’t help but run my hands along all the beautiful garments. There was such a great array of clothing textures, each brand boasting such unique, detailed pieces.

YAWN PYJAMAS

The art of relaxation – for dreamers, doers and do-nothings.

I enjoyed discovering lots of new brands that I hadn’t heard of prior to the event.

One of my fave new discoveries was Yawn. A brand that specialise in women’s Nightwear. They create women’s pyjama sets, along with other accessories associated with a good nights slumber, including eye masks and cashmere socks.

I would say they are on the higher end in terms of price range, averaging at around £80 per set, however the quality and the attention to detail is second to none. The patterns used have all been hand painted and each set is made using bespoke cotton-sateen for a super-soft, luxurious feel.

ASH FOOTWEAR

I quickly fell in love with ASH footwear, particularly their new range of suede boots. The midnight blue, embellished heeled boots were honestly the best statement shoe I have probably ever seen. (A bold statement, but I completely stand by it) if you are a shoe lover, go and check out their AW range, you might leave their website with a lighter purse, but you certainly won’t regret it.

MARC CAIN

I absolutely adore Marc Cain clothing! It is elegant, understated yet packs a punch!

“Marc Cain combines a sense of aesthetics and art with a laid-back attitude, a natural look, innovative thinking and exclusivity.  Marc Cain is a declaration love to a woman”.

Their shoes were my favourite part of their new range. (I know, shock, horror)

The flat ballerinas were truly something special. I am big sucker for a pointed flat, especially if its embellished!

Another thing i appreciated about their range was the colours. They were one of the few brands to incorporate autumnal colours into their new A/W range. I loved the browns, burnt oranges and creamy, latte tones.

CAROLINE GARDNER

“Caroline Gardner is best known as one of the UK’s leading and most prolific stationery and gift designers”.

Mixing it up a bit now, but i wanted to ensure i included Caroline Gardner’s new range within this post, because this is a lifestyle brand i have loved for years! and was super excited to know the range was going to be showcased.

As you can see from the photos, it was a great mix of clothing, accessories and lifestyle bits and pieces. Definitely something for everyone, and lots of lovely stocking fillers!

I really liked the trinket dish, the chunky knit scarf and the homeware bits.

TESSA SPIELHOFER

OUI CLOTHING

A family run clothing business that specialise in knitwear and distinctive prints.

Knitwear that celebrates craftsmanship to the full. Fine and soft. Elegant and light. Warm and snug. Caressing the skin. Decorative yet extremely comfortable.

Prints that brighten up the collection, combining colours, inspirations, passions of the season. An expression of pure joie de vivre. Every single piece is full of passion and the aspiration to be special, different. A combination of contradictions and yet a harmonious unity.

Oui boasts exceptional attention to detail. Fashionable and effortlessly fashion-conscious. Surprising, inspiring and full of joie de vivre.

LAVENDER & LILLIE

Journeys – Memories – Fragrance.

Last, but by no means least, Lavender & Lillie.

If you know me personally, you’ll know how much i bloody love candles. So, this discovery was a great success. Lavender & Lillie is owned by a couple who have created a range of scented candles inspired by their travels around the world. Starting with Venice, India and London.

The event had something to suit everyone, with a great mix of affordable accessories and clothing, combined with quality high end fashion pieces, and lifestyle items that make for perfect stocking fillers, thrown in.

I hope you enjoyed this post!.

Hopefully you have discovered brands you hadn’t heard of before, and feel inspired for Christmas gifts!

A special thank you Task PR for inviting me along to the event.

Love,

If we’re pals on Instagram then you’ve probably seen some snaps from Italy!

If not head over to have a nosey >> here <<

Whilst in Italy we visited Verona (home of the famous Juliette’s balcony) Lake Garda and Venice, all of which were absolutely magical! (not to mention super instagrammable).

Just before we went I was sent a few holiday items from Joy which i wanted to share with you guys!

If you’ve never heard of Joy Clothing before you are seriously missing out!

JOY is a fashion and lifestyle brand, known for it’s innovative womenswear, menswear, accessories and an eclectic mix of fun, quirky and stylish gifts. Amongst a tempting range of handpicked brands is JOY’s principal label is Louche; designed-by women, for women.

I feel super grateful to have had the chance to work with such a great team and brand! So, without further ado, I hope you love my Italy summer edit picks!

first up . . .

Louche Hawkins Beach Bag

Because you can’t have a summer hols without the perfect beach bag! And this little beauty will get you into the summer vacay spirit!

This gorgeous bag comes in yellow and blue, both colours perfectly suited for catching rays at the beach!

This tote boasts a sturdy (very nautical) rope handle and a practical little pocket with a zip closure to make sure all your important bits and bobs are safe and sound, and away from the sand!

5-Pocket super stretch jeans

An item that (in my humble opinion) is a must have staple when it comes to a summer hols. If you’re someone who gets a killer tan, these would look incredible for an evening out, paired with a cami or long flowing top and sandals. Or if you’re like me you don’t tan then rock them with a bright coloured top for that added POP of colour.

Gold Cactus Necklace

Let’s take a moment to talk about this necklace, because 1, you’ll see it throughout this post and 2, im a little bit obsessed with it.

I am usually not a big fan of gold jewellery. I must confess i thought (up until now) i was exclusively a silver jewellery kind of gal, but this necklace is just lovely.

The adorable summery Cactus charm hangs delicately on a dainty gold chain; a simple, understated accessory to add the finishing touch to any outfit.

Valley of the Dolls Cactus playsuit

Inject some fun and playfulness into your summer wardrobe with this gorgeous navy blue playsuit by Valley of the Dolls.

This playsuit is without a doubt my fave item from this edit. With an all-over print of cute Cacti in adorable yellow pots this pattern will undoubtedly steal hearts.

The Square-fit shorts are super comfortable, making this playsuit the perfect item to pack for your holiday! I paired mine with a simple plain white T-shirt and mustard coloured sandals, for an effortlessly cute holiday outfit.

Louche Santina pleated midi skirt

The last few years iv’e started to become more true to my own sense of style and learnt to embrace bold and vibrant colours.

The Santina Pleated Midi Skirt comes in an eye-catching royal blue and the incredibly striking vermillion red. Both midi skirts have sun ray pleats that are so on-trend this year. The waist band cinches in at the waist, giving the pleats free reign to skim down over your hips and fall beautifully.

This skirt is so versatile and flattering for any body type/shape. Wear with a simple, light colour on top to keep all eyes on your beautiful, bold skirt.

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post!

I have been after a pair of black full length dungarees for bloody ages! and everywhere seems to be sold out – wahh!

When the other day i was having a little snoop in the River island sale and i stumbled across a black denim dungaree dress which i snapped up pretty damn quickly.

I lived in dungarees as a kid and I’m loving them more than ever now! so, i thought i’d share my chilled/ running errands Saturday outfit with you all.

Tee and cake – Topshop t-shirt. (£16):

If I could I would wear a tee every single day of the year, trust me I would. Tee and cake tees are my absolute favourite! Topshop stocks their range so be sure to go and check them out. They do the sweetest designs ever. (Similar option: Heart embellished Tee)

Black denim dungaree dress (£15):

As i said above, i am ALL about the dungarees at the moment. Every colour, shape and pattern- GIMME!

ASOS leather western waist and hip belt (£16)

Such a staple item! ASOS are my go to for belts.

Jack Wills cross over sandals. (£24)

Another staple item that is super handy for summer is my dark green sandals. They are great with pretty much every outfit. I bought these last summer, so unfortunately they are no longer in stock but New look, Hollister and Next have a range of very similar ones.

Olivia triple cross body bag (£20)

Yep, i know what you’re all thinking, Its that damn bag again, but honestly i wear it everywhere now!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Have a great week.

Some of you might already know this but whilst I studied at University I was lucky enough to live in the heart of Cambridgeshire, although iv’e now graduated and live back in my home town, My heart still lies with this beautiful city, which I visit often.

If you’re thinking about visiting for a day or weekend (Particularly if its a rainy winter’s day) here are a few of my tips, photos and places to visit!

Tip number 1- Watch out for the cyclists!

I mean it, you are more likely to be hit by a a student on a bicycle than someone in a car. They are everywhere and often on a mission.

Enjoy the less mainstream shops and cafes.

The cobbled streets and quaint little avenues are easily one of my favourite things about Cambridge. Be sure to explore around Trinity street, as you’ll find an abundance of cosy little tea rooms/cafes that sell the loveliest home made cakes!

Here you will also find a craft market that is open every Saturday all year around. If this sounds up your street, be sure to pay The hairy growler stall a visit, his hand crafted jewellery is created entirely out of old coins and are the perfect ‘treat yourself’ souvenir/gift.

Heffers book store

As far as I’m concerned this book shop deserves its own heading.

Its the most gorgeous bookstore EVER! not to mention its years and years of history and character.

Kings College & The Fitzwilliam Museum

“In a city crammed with show-stopping buildings, this is the scene-stealer”.

– Lonely Planet.

This 16th century building’s gothic architecture is nothing short of breathtaking.

Another beautiful building worth paying a visit to is the Fitzwilliam Museum located on Trumpington Street just a short walk away from Kings. This gorgeous museum is the home of various exhibitions and displays whilst also hosting a variety of different events throughout the year.

Did i also mention, its free entry!

The Cambridge Satchel Company

After three years of being a poor student and forever having a Cambridge satchel on my Wishlist, I finally got one as a treat from my parents when I graduated; and oh my, it was so worth the wait!

They are hardwearing and the perfect companion for any outfit, be it casual or smart.

Grand Arcade & The Grafton

finally the grand arcade is Cambridge’s biggest shopping centre. Its full with high street names like Topshop, River island, Levis, Fossil and many more.

However If you’re looking for a bargain or enjoy thrift shopping, head down to the Grafton (a 10 minute walk away) this is a smaller shopping centre located near a primark and various charity shops.

Thats all from me!

I hope you found this quick little guide helpful.

Feel free to leave me a comment- Id love to hear your favourite things about Cambridge!

Now autumn is upon us its definitely time to ditch the floral summer dresses and grab a few camel coloured bits. This outfit is one of my favourite autumn combinations.

Whilst im a complete sucker for a pair of chunky boots in the more colder winter months, I think you can still get away with wearing your tried and tested converse in September and October. (Maybe just me but they are my favourite!)

This outfit channels the cool 80’s vibes with the camel coloured corduroy Dungarees; mixed with a staple navy long sleeve sweat top. Whilst this super cute bicycle necklace combined with the converse inject a splash of colour and statement into the outfit.
