A YEAR IN BEAUTY PRODUCTS…

It’s the new year, which means only one thing… It’s time to share my new holy grail beauty product finds of 2017.

Once I discover a product I like, I tend to religiously stick to it and re-purchase it time and time again, however this year I have been lucky enough to be sent a few products and had a few cheeky sprees myself, which has led to me finding some new faves!

So, grab yourself a cup tea as I talk you (well..more write) you through my latest beauty finds.

IN MY MAKEUP STASH

First up is the Too faced Sweet Peach Palette. I have absolutely loved this palette throughout the entire year. It’s the perfect palette for a statement eye, but also has you covered with a host of neutral shades for the more subtle everyday look.

Typically I tend not to indulge in high end makeup brands as I believe that drugstore makeup products can be just as good as high end ones; however I have pretty much used this palette every day since I bought it, so I’m glad I treated myself to it in the end! Its been well worth the splurge.

Next up is the Collection long lasting concealer. This concealer reinforces my point above, it costs less than £5 and it is bloody great! I’ve tried various concealers from lots of high end brands and this one knocks them all out of the water. Its light weight and creamy, and doesn’t leave your under eye feeling cakey and dry, which a lot of concealers tend to do.

Next up is possibly my favourite makeup discovery of the whole year – Tanya Burr’s Sunday Walk lipstick. I’m pretty sure i’ve mentioned this lipstick in another favourites post previously, but I honestly can’t stop raving about it! Everything about this lipstick is perfection; the pinky shade, the texture, and the packaging. It’s safe to say I have stocked up on this!

Don’t get me wrong, I love a beauty blender as much as the next blogger, but a set of good makeup brushes are hard to beat. I’ve been loving the Earth brush set from Spectrum. The range was limited Edition for Christmas 2017, although I’m pretty sure you can still get your hands on them over on their website! I’m a sucker for anything with a star print or Zodiac related so the moment I saw these I had to order them!

HAIRCARE HEROES

I only have one hair product to mention and it’s the Garnier Ultimate blends 3-in-1 Coconut milk treatment mask (Bit of a mouthful!) but good lord, this product has been a game changer.

I won’t go into too much detail as you guys know the drill about hair treatments, but let me just say that Garnier weren’t kidding when they said that this treatment is the crème de la crème of hair products. It’s made with nourishing Coconut Milk and Macadamia that creates a creamy formula that leaves your hair feeling revived and healthy! Don’t just take my word for it, take a look at all the 5 star reviews online! (Oh and the smell is out of this world!!)

SKIN SAVIOURS

I have combination skin, which means it can be tricky to find the right skin products. My skin can also be quite sensitive, so when it comes to body butters and moisturisers etc I have to be pretty picky!

But 2017 was the year I managed to bag myself a new all time favourite body butter; Bluebell Wood body butter from Bomb Cosmetics which I had to share with you guys. I was sent this when I first partnered with Bomb Cosmetics (Yeah that happened!) and it has fast become my go-to body moisturiser post bath/shower. Check out a previous review post here for more info!

Next is Scrubee from Lush. It’s packed full of hydrating honey and cocoa butter to smooth and moisturise your skin, but don’t underestimate the polishing power – this bad boy has ground coconut shells and ground almonds that gives a gentle yet effective exfoliation. I am hooked! Again, it’s a product I since like to have stocked up, especially for the summer months when I was using a lot of tinted moisturiser/Gradual tan lotions.

My final skin saviour in 2017 was the All in one BB cream from The body Shop. It’s another beauty product that is perfect for the summer months when you don’t want a full coverage foundation but still want a to achieve a natural looking glow and an even skin tone.

That concludes my top beauty products of 2017!

I hope you enjoyed this post and found some inspiration! Do go and check them out, I’ve left direct links for your leisure.

Love,

I wasn’t too fussed about the launch of the sweet peach palette but my best friend absolutely adores it! The Collection concealer is totally my go to too, it’s so brilliant! I haven’t yet tried any of the body moisturisers from Bomb but I hope I get sent some soon 🙂

I absolutely love Spectrum brushes, they’re definitely the best make-up brushes out there in my eyes! The quality is incredible. You’re such an enabler, now I want to buy the Garnier hair mask as it sounds incredible – my hair needs some love haha. For some reason the Collection concealer just doesn’t blend out well for me, but I absolutely love their contour stick x
