I thought i’d venture into unknown territory, with my first interiors blog post.
As some of you might already know, Feg and I are moving in together soon. So, consequently, I have been cheating on fashion with homeware (If you don’t know that quote, I’m not so sure we can be pals).
For the living room, we like the idea of having navy blues and greys whilst injecting a splash of colour using mustard yellow. For the bedroom, (We’re pretty undecided) but it’s looking like we might have a light grey and dusty pink.
At the moment, I dont actually have a desk, which breaks my heart a little. Fellow bloggers will understand that we ‘content creators’ have A LOT of stuff. Stationary, Magazines, props, lighting, you name it, we probably have it somewhere in our ‘blogging corner’. So this homeware item is the thing i’m most excited to get, and to style!
I LOVE everything from Oliver Bonas! Which could be a bit of an issue for my bank account…But in all seriousness, this lamp is just so damn perfect. I love its marble base and contrasting copper cord and metal shade! Again, I’m toying between two, the dusty pink or the grey, both equally as instagrammable!
I really like this chair, but it doesn’t particularly pair well with the white desk. But i know a lot of you would appreciate this item, so i figured i’d throw it in the mix anyway! plus…cloud grey and copper = desk chair goals.
I am a big fan of Zoella’s new lifestyle range. Especially the sweet dreams pillow. It would look so adorable on a grey or navy blue armchair, with a cosy throw.
I liked this because, again, its simple and versatile. Grey is a colour that goes with most, and allows us to switch up the pillows and interior colours whenever we want.
What’s not to like?
This beauty is made from 100% pure new wool and finished with cute cream tassels.
I love that it’s big enough for both the sofa or our double bed. The colour is subtle, and combined with it’s soft pink pattern it will add some warmth and texture to our bedroom interior.
I have wanted a Jo Malone candle for over a year now, but because they are quite pricey, I haven’t made the splurge yet as I dont think i can warrant it as a ‘To me, from me’ type thing, so, if anyone fancies buying me one for a house warming gift, feel free!
A little less pretty, a bit more practical now, but Panasonic have unveiled a range of next generation combination microwaves for the ultimate in fresh and fast cooking. It has options to grill, steam and bake! Plus, they not only cook all your food in half the time, but also preserve its flavour, vitamins and nutrients thanks to it’s Turbo Steam technology. I’ll openly admit, i’m definitely no Jamie Oliver, so for me, these bad boys sounds incredible!
I am such a huge fan of these pendant lamps. I love the way they hang, and the cosy light they create. Although i’ve seen them around before, I mostly started to take notice of them after I discovered similar in the ‘Little book of Hygge‘. Lighting plays such a huge part of making a house cosy, and inviting, and the Danes seem to rave about these low hanging lamps. Plus, its copper, so you know…
“Danes select lamps carefully and place them strategically to create soothing pools of light”.
A handy item to have around.
As much as I want to believe I have the money to get all Anthropologie mugs and cutlery, I think for now, we’ll probably just stick with good’ol Ikea. I have actually been impressed with Ikea’s range of cutlery and home essentials. They have a great array of styles and colours, plus its super inexpensive.
Bit of a random one, but i really like the idea of growing fresh herbs in the kitchen. You can fill these cute clay pots with a trio of your fave herbs for instant fresh flavouring for your cooking, and for a super cute display.
This is easily one of my favourite items in this lust list. It’s simplistic, versatile and i really dig the font.
Because apparently, although i love Coffee, I can’t make it….
Another staple from Ikea.
I hope you liked this post!
